Granted that it’s comparatively easier to brick and mortar in that there’s no inventory to carry, no shipping of goods no sales staff and virtually no overheads, but a lot of work is still involved.

Once you have your domain set up, you only pay for internet connection, advertising and ongoing educations, that’s it. You can’t expect to make money selling free stuff and ask others to do the same. Folks! It takes money to

Myth #5: It’s TOO LATE to Start an Internet Business

Most internet marketers would love to hear people say “It’s too late now, too much competition, I should just pack my bags and go home. The internet is too complicated, etc…” You know why? The less people they have to compete with the better which in turn will make them more money.

The fact is, it’s never ever too late to start anything and that includes internet business. I firmly believe that the internet is not going anywhere and you should too. 1. Lack of Knowledge/Experience: Just like with everything in life the more knowledge and experience you have at something the better you will be. Think back when you started to drive a car for the first time. You were nervous and all over the place. Nowadays you don’t even think about it, it just comes naturally to you. It’s going to be the same way when you start your own home based business. The key is to learn as fast as you can by reading and studying everything you can about your business.

2. Self Belief/Mindset: When you have your own business you must believe in yourself. You must wake up every day in the right mindset telling yourself you will be successful. This is very hard in the beginning when you are struggling and trying to get your business up and running. The key is to stay positive and don’t focus on the negative aspects.

3. Sign Up Under A Friend/Family Member: So you got hooked in by someone you know. They told you that they had this great business opportunity and you were going to make all this money with them. Try to avoid joining under people who are brand new. Try finding someone who can help you out personally when you have questions. Do your research and find a great mentor, not your best friend.

Every business involves work. If you are looking for a business opportunity that will make money automatically and in no time, you might be looking for a long time. Magic Tools are all over the internet that claim, just click and start making money. You will need tools to run your online business, but there is no tool available that will make money itself.

9. Wrong Business: Sometimes you just get into a bad business or a business that’s not right for you. If you find yourself in a business that you don’t like, it might be hard for you to promote that business. If you have given a business a fair chance and have been with it for a few months and don’t like it. It could be time to move on.

10. Building Your Own List: You must be building your own list of contacts so you can market to that list whenever you want to. Now if you are in a network marketing company and you are not building your own list I’m sorry to tell you that you don’t have your own business. You are a rep for your network marketing company that’s it. If that company goes out of business or they kick you out for violating some of there by laws, you will be left with absolutely nothing.
So here are what I think are the 5 main reasons why you should be building your own list.

1. Security: If you have your own list and your company goes out of business or kicks you out for violating the by-laws, you just say goodbye and send an e-mail out to your list telling them about your new business/opportunity. When you start your new company you will have representatives under you from day one, especially if you have built a good relationship with your list.

2.Asset: Your list becomes an asset to you and others. As your list grows in numbers you can sell your list to other markets and companies to make extra money, however this not recommended as this then gives you competition. You will also lose a great deal of trust with your readers and many might unsubscribe from your list but, if you need extra money this can be an option.

3. Positioning: You can position yourself as a leader and an expert as your following grows. It’s really simple, the more people who subscribe to you and listen to you the more power you hold.

4. Marketing: If you control your list you can market any product or opportunity you want to it. You can write an e-mail every week/month promoting a new product you could. You have complete control of your list and the amount of income streams you can have from that list. However you must give them value (good information) also.
