I was born in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and lived in this county up until the age of 19, until joining the Royal Navy in January 1982.
Having spent 12 years in the Royal Navy as an electronics engineer working on Lynx helicopters, reaching the dizzy heights of senior NCO, I decided to leave and try to broaden my horizons in the outside world.
For the last eight years I have successfully owned and ran my own retail business, but it was never enough. I needed more of a challenge.
As you can see I am, and always have been your run-of-the-mill type of guy. In 2005 under tragic circumstances, I became a single parent to my daughter Georgia. This changed every aspect of my life, from my lifestyle to my outlook on life. Now I wanted to do the very best for myself and her. I was never going to retire and give her the time she needed with me, doing what I was doing.

18 months ago I decided that more and more people were tending towards the internet to make an income. So I started up my own race horse tipping web site, as horse racing is a hobby of mine. It does ok, but again I wasn’t going to retire on its income.
